Tamar Restaurant-מסעדת תמר
About This Spot
Stepping into Tamar Restaurant in Migdal feels like entering a welcoming refuge where the rhythms of the Sea of Galilee region gently unfold around you. The spacious dining rooms, quietly humming with conversation and the clinking of glasses, offer a calm and inviting atmosphere—a perfect pause after exploring nearby historic sites. There’s a sense of ease here, where service moves thoughtfully yet with purpose, attentive to the small details that make a meal feel cared for.
The mood is unhurried but warm, a place where groups and families find plenty of room to gather comfortably without the buzz of hurried crowds. Light filters softly through the windows, casting a gentle glow over the tables, while the arrangement hints at something both familiar and refined—an environment designed for enjoying good company and flavors rooted in local tradition.
At Tamar, the cuisine is closely tied to the landscape and sea that surround it. The freshness of each ingredient shines through—from the delicate balance of the fish dishes, such as the well-loved St. Peter’s fish, to crisp salads and the subtle sweetness of fresh dates enjoyed as a final note. The buffet offers generous choices, including satisfying options for vegetarians, all served with a swiftness that respects your time without rushing the experience. Turkish coffee and carefully selected accompaniments linger like a quiet conversation, inviting you to stay and savor the moment.
This is a place where the food feels grounded in its place, meant to be shared and remembered in simple, genuine ways. Whether arriving after a morning of sightseeing or settling in for a leisurely meal, Tamar quietly crafts a space for connection—between people, place, and plate.

Came here as a group. The hummus is the best I’ve ever had. Salad is delicious and plenty. The main course is good but the service is very attentive.

Decent buffet, my sister and her daughter had "Peter's Fish", my sister loved it and said it was cooked well, but her daughter said it had a strange taste lol, she never had tilapia before. I am a vegetarian and I had plenty of options of salad and vegetables and crunchies, it was fine. Good fast service of the mains.

Great food, lots of options to choose from, lovely classy set up, fast service, large rooms and sitting enough for large groups. Would recommend you try out their "Peter's" fish if it's your first time of visiting

My tour group stopped here for lunch. Fish was tasty. Salad bar was good. Liked the fresh dates at the end of the meal

Great food and service. We had lunch here after visiting Banius and Capernaum. The salad bar is excellent. Peter's fish is a fried talipa. We were served with coffee and palm dates. Even though it is not cheap, l highly recommend this place.
